GIRLS MIDDLE SCHOOL TRYOUTS
13U & 14U | 2026–2027 CLUB SEASON
Join Flight Academy Volleyball for the 2026–2027 girls club season. Our Middle School program combines experienced coaching, structured development, competitive opportunities and a positive team culture designed to help athletes grow.
MIDDLE SCHOOL TRYOUTS
Location: St. Pats Middle School, Arroyo Grande
Athletes should attend their scheduled age group tryout in order to receive a fair evaluation. No makeup tryouts will be offered.

One Sunday practice
Final Maverick practice days, times and locations are still being finalized and will be announced soon.
CLUB OPTIONS
Maverick Travel Team
Full club season including team practices, tournament competition, coaching, player development, official game uniforms, practice gear and backpack.
Two practices each week
One weekday practice
One Sunday practice
Final practice days, times and locations will be announced soon.
Practice Player
Practice Players train with their assigned Maverick Travel Team throughout the season but do not occupy a regular travel roster position.
Viper Program
A competitive non-travel option for athletes who want structured coaching, development and a team environment with a more manageable schedule.

VIEW VIPER PROGRAMTRAVEL TEAM COST & SEASON PACKAGE
The season cost for 13U and 14U Maverick Travel Teams is $2,800 per athlete. A $350 deposit is required to accept a team offer and reserve a roster spot.
Flight Academy offers both 6-month and 9-month payment plans to help families spread season costs throughout the year.

Tournament dates, locations and venue assignments are subject to change. Families will receive confirmed event information through official Flight Academy communication. Additional local scrimmages or one-day events may be added during the season.
MIDDLE SCHOOL VIPERS
In addition to our Maverick Travel Teams Flight Academy offers a Middle School Viper Program for 13U and 14U athletes.
Vipers is designed for athletes who want quality coaching, structured development, consistent team training and a competitive environment without the full travel commitment.
Practices Begin: Mid-January 2027
Season Ends: May 2027

Athletes interested in Middle School Vipers must still register for and attend the October 3 Middle School Tryouts.

Athletes will be evaluated through skill work, positional training, competitive drills and gameplay situations.
HOW TEAMS ARE FORMED
Our goal is to place athletes in an environment where they can develop, compete and succeed. Team placement is based on the full evaluation of each athlete.

- Overall roster balance
Returning athletes are encouraged to try out each season but previous team placement does not guarantee a roster position for the upcoming season.
AFTER TRYOUTS
Following tryouts our coaching staff will finalize roster placements. Team offers will begin going out immediately after tryouts and will continue throughout the following 24 hours.
Not every athlete attending tryouts will receive a Maverick Travel Team offer. Depending on evaluations and roster needs athletes may also be considered for a Practice Player position or the Middle School Viper Program.
Athletes interested specifically in Vipers must still attend the October 3 tryout in order to be evaluated.

AGE DEFINITIONS
USA Volleyball age divisions are determined by an athlete's date of birth for the 2026–2027 club season.
