Not every family is looking for a full travel volleyball schedule, and that's okay.
The Flight Academy Viper Program was created for athletes who want outstanding coaching, competitive volleyball, and continued player development while enjoying a more balanced schedule with fewer travel commitments.
Whether your athlete is new to club volleyball, plays multiple sports, has a busy family schedule, or simply prefers to stay closer to home, the Viper Program provides an incredible opportunity to train, compete, and grow within the Flight Academy family.
Our goal is simple: provide the same positive culture, experienced coaching, and player development that Flight Academy is known for in a program designed specifically for local competition.

Tournament Schedule
The Viper Program is built around local competition.
Our goal is to participate in approximately 1–2 local tournaments throughout the season, along with additional scrimmages or play days when available.
The tournament schedule will be released after teams have been finalized.

Do I Need to Attend Tryouts?
Yes.
All athletes interested in joining the Viper Program should attend Flight Academy tryouts.
During tryouts, our coaching staff evaluates each athlete and determines the best placement based on skill level, experience, and overall team needs.
Some athletes will receive Travel Team offers, while others may receive Viper Program offers.
Our goal is to place every athlete in the environment where they can develop, compete, and enjoy the game.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Viper Program recreational volleyball?
No.
The Viper Program is competitive club volleyball. Athletes practice with experienced coaches, compete in organized tournaments, and continue developing throughout the season. The primary difference is fewer tournaments and significantly less travel than our Travel Teams.
Can athletes move to a Travel Team in the future?
Absolutely.
Many athletes continue developing through the Viper Program before earning a spot on one of our Travel Teams in future seasons.
Will my athlete still improve?
Yes.
Player development remains the foundation of everything we do. Athletes receive quality coaching focused on fundamentals, volleyball IQ, confidence, teamwork, and competitive play.
How many tournaments are included?
Our goal is approximately 1–2 local tournaments, with additional scrimmages or play opportunities throughout the season.
Can multi-sport athletes participate?
Absolutely.
The Viper Program is a great option for athletes who enjoy playing multiple sports while still wanting a competitive club volleyball experience.

USA Volleyball determines age divisions based on an athlete's age as of July 1, 2027.
13 & Under (13U)
Born on or after July 1, 2013
14 & Under (14U)
Born on or after July 1, 2012
15 & Under (15U)
Born on or after July 1, 2011
16 & Under (16U)
Born on or after July 1, 2010
17 & Under (17U)
Born on or after July 1, 2009
18 & Under (18U)
Born on or after July 1, 2008*
* Athletes born on or after July 1, 2007 may also be eligible for 18U if they are enrolled in the 12th grade or below during the 2026–27 school year.
