Natalie Marx brings more than 25 years of volleyball playing and coaching experience to Flight Academy Volleyball, along with a strong background in athlete development and competitive team leadership.
A Southern California native, Natalie competed in both indoor and beach volleyball at the University of Oregon. During her collegiate career, she was a member of Oregon’s 2012 NCAA National Runner-Up team, gaining valuable experience competing at one of the highest levels of collegiate volleyball.
Following her playing career, Natalie transitioned into coaching, working with both high school and club volleyball programs throughout Southern California. Her experience as both a player and coach has helped shape a coaching philosophy centered on strong fundamentals, volleyball IQ, confidence, accountability, and competitive development.
After relocating to the Central Coast in 2020, Natalie joined the coaching staff of Cal Poly Men’s Club Volleyball. During her time with the program, her teams consistently competed at a high level nationally, earning Top 5 finishes at the NCVF National Championships each season.
Natalie currently serves as the Head Coach of Nipomo High School Volleyball and is entering her first season with Flight Academy Volleyball as the 13-Maverick Head Coach.
Natalie is passionate about helping young athletes become technically sound, confident, and intelligent volleyball players. She emphasizes purposeful training, attention to detail, teamwork, and accountability while creating a positive environment where athletes are encouraged to compete, learn, and grow.
Her goal is not only to help athletes improve their volleyball skills, but also to develop the confidence, work ethic, communication, and understanding of the game that will help them succeed both on and off the court.
Flight Academy is excited to welcome Natalie to the coaching staff and looks forward to the experience, leadership, and passion she will bring to the 13-Maverick program.
